Tried posting this in the brake board, but I thought I might get some better responses here. I am trying to work on a few minor details on my car that I am unsure of. When my 92 RS was brand new, what color were the brake pads? Were the backing plates painted, or were they just left bare metal from the factory?

 

Well the pads are black. and the backing plate on mine is also black (using a mirror to look behind it) along with a section of the arm it's attached to.. I've never taken mine off so I assume it's 'stock' ..
