They're advertising a hypertech chip as a selling point? Forget it, it's just hype.

You have an engine with only 2,000 miles on the odometer. I see you've also tweaked it for performance. Aside from the hypertech chip (useless), the '91 has nothing. Zip. Nada.

Stick with your car.

Everything has positives and negatives.
You have spent alot of money on your car to get it the way you want it. Sounds like you are having a change of mind about what you want. Time for something new?
You will have to decide what to do in the end.
I take it that you like the '91-'92 style Bird better?
The '91 Bird is newer, has a completely different look, and is pretty much stock under the hood.
It might ride better than your Trans Am (I have to admit, I do enjoy driving our '91 red Firebird with the Sport Appearance Package alittle but more than my 20th TTA! The ride is totally different, even though the '91 Bird has some upgrades added.), have less maintance issues, easier to work on,and one main thing! Cheaper to insure!
Heck, is it just the color?
One plus on the Trans Am! They hold their value more than a regular bird!
I could go on, but this gives an idea.

Hope this helps,

George

The Hypertech chip does really nothing for Gas Milage really.
I had a hypertech stage 2 chip in my 87 Iroc & got worse gas milage with it in the car then I did with out it.

of course the performance was slightly better at the track but nothing compare to what I am building now.

If your worried about mialage, find a 305 TPI with the 5 speed. then you have performance and some speed

My 87 Formula, TPI, with a cam and 3.73 gears gets about 23 mph... The same car with the LG4 I only got 18 Mpg...

In my car, the Hypertech Stage 2 just made it idle like ****

I'd keep the first one!
