Wierddd camaro at junkyard....

Well, while scrounging the local boneyard I came across a camaro. Red, blue, a little red here and there........rough shape. Roof (t-top roof) is all twisted up and stuff, looked pretty bad. Turned out to have an A/C delete heater box, so I grabbed it today for 15 bucks. While looking at the car though, it seemed pretty wierd.....
A/C delete, rear wiper (still there), only had an 85mph speedo, firebird seats w/ pocket in the back.......and a neat little flashlight thing right on top of the heater box (didnt grab it but i might.....)
I know A/C delete isnt too common on thirdgens, and i know the rear wiper is also pretty difficult to find....
Is there the possibility that this could be a 1LE or B4C or anything? I dont know anything about them really other than they had/didnt have certain options and are pretty hard to come by. What shoudl I look for when I go back, if anything?
Thanks,
-Chris

If it were a b4c gov't issue car, one would think it would have A/C being that out on patrol it would be a convienence you would want...i wouldnt want to be pulled over by a cop thats been sitting in a hot car all day...

Maybe somebody ordered a "stripper". Did it have a radio? Might want to check out the rear end see if its a posi/disk car

The rear wiper gives it away.

They were only available thru 86. No 1LE or B4C prior to 86. Just a stripper model. Nothing special.

Then that narrows it to between 82 and 85. Certain features help identifying the year based on the options available certain years.

I'm pretty sure AC was an option in most 3rd gen packages. It was something you paid extra for and not something that came standard and had to be removed by request.

It's kind of like saying a V6 car is a V8 delete model

I think in the case of the car you found, the original owner just didn't order AC. As scottmoyer says.. It's just a stripper.. I've seen quite a few non AC 3rd gens.

But post pics of the car anyway! Always neat to see a strange 3rd gen.

And go back and get the wiper assembly for me
