Any tips on how to research the racing history of my 1LE?
I just purchased a 1991 1LE, I would like to know more information on its racing history. Do any tracks or sanctioning bodies save car or owner information? I am curious where it raced and how it finished in the races. It was first titled in 2004!

About 4k original miles! The story I got was the original owner bought it, raced it at Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio for about two years, then put it in his warehouse until 2004 when he sold it, then I bought it from that person. It is immacculate. The only problems I am having is the injectors are sticking and fouling the plugs. I already bought new injectors, just waiting for my afpr to come in to install. I have the original window sticker, build sheet, invoice, owners manual, etc. I found the original owners name and he is the Owner/Driver of a Miller Genuine Draft Vintage race car team, but I have no phone number or email to contact. I have lots of pics. I will load them when I get home from work.

Usually if the car was raced in SCCA it should have a racing log, which is kept by the owner. SCCA may also have race records, usually based on the driver and owner.
Other race organizations may have similar information.

But you can't tell us you bought a 1991 1LE Z/28 and it only has 4,000 miles and not post a whole **** load of pictures. Come on man it's like holding meat in front of a Lion, if you don't feed it to him he is going to rip your arm off.
So come on give me the meat, I mean pictures.
Later, Garrett

Thank you for all of the compliments. It means alot. I have been a lurker on this site for a while, and I finally got the oportunity to purchase the car of my dreams from a straight up guy, off of this site. I think I got a real good deal on it, considering there is one in Canada for sale right now, just like it with 66k miles on it for $17K US.
I have a lot to do to it yet. It needs new injectors from sitting so long, complete tune up, all fluids, and just generally gone through. I might be hated by some people for this, but i do plan on driving it. Not very often, but occasionally. I don't plan on it being an investment ( but everything has a price!), I bought it to enjoy. I am almost done reworking the rear seat area of the rollbar for a baby carseat for the Hot Rod Power Tour!

i'll get a couple of more pics of the roll bar throught the dash in a couple of days. It is in the shop right now ( the Camaro purists are going to hate me for this), getting a Vintage Air Gen II unit installed.
