floorboard problem
heres my situation.
i pulled my interior out,
found rust from the back of the front seats up to the front of the rear seat bracket. on both sides.
rear front d/s seat bracket is starting to rust.
p/s front floor well area where it dips down is starting to rust, has like a quater size hole, but wont know for sure until i start grinding.
d/s front floor looks clean.
i have stress cracks on the trans tunnel???
i noticed one in the front by the fire wall,
noticed 3 more by the shifter.
and one about 3 inches long alittle further back
should i weld the stress cracks, and patch the panels with junk yard pieces?
should i put a set of new pans in?
or should i just find another body?

I have the same situation. My car is ate up with it. I haven't pulled the carpet, but a look underneath will make your heart sink. I even found a rust hole in part of the front frame.
I thought about the amount of work it would all take. That is considering to that my quarter are rusting out in the dog leg, and there is rust all around the t-tops and windshield. With the cost of repair for mine, I can buy one in a lot better shape. I'm throwing all my $$ at the drive train because I can transplant it later. Hopefully dropping in my vortec 355 in a couple of weeks
