The last 1982 Firebird?

Probably not, but close, Does anyone know what the VIN was for the last 1982 Firebird. I remember reading a thread a while back but I can’t find it. I have a build week of 09E (last week in September) and the invoice I got from PHS has the following dates:

Effective date for prices on this invoice, 09-30-82
Ship date, 11-02-82
Date of Execution, 11-02-82

I believe the 83 model year began production in October of 82, does anybody know what day?

Also, what does the D and S and 297625 mean on the last line?

if you can’t read the seq number it is 576083

That's a strange data plate. It's exactly what the second gen ones looked like up to '79... It has C so that means '82 though..

there were 116,364 Firebirds made in 1982. However they had two plants, Norwood and Van Nuys. Unfortunately my breakdowns for each plant only goes back to 1985. It sounds like it could be colse to the last one, but you need the totals from each plant.

Hi John,
Where did you get your breakdows from?
You have copies?
I would love to see them. If you can.

Actually I got them from The Seat Belt Recall, I found it in there.
