IROC's without posi

Was it common for IROC's to be ordered without posi? I know mine wasn't and it's an 85 IROC with the 305 TPI. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Depends on the year. 85 and 86 posi was an option even with a TPI motor. In 87 it became a manditory option with TPI. Not sure about LG4 or LO3 motors. I had an 85 Z28 with a TPI 305 and an open wheel 3.23. The twist caused the dash to crack near the radio. My Iroc with posi is not cracked like that. I think they made posi manditory to help with body twisting.

My dash had a crack in the plastic right next to the radio. I'm convinced that the twist of the open wheel caused this. My 87 Iroc with the posi 3.23 doesn't have it. I hear it's a common problem.

My dashed cracked there and I have Posi. I blame the T-tops for mine.

Um... sorry to burst the bubble, but the car doens't have enough torque to crack the dash plastics. Doesn't matter if it's a posi or not!

People or Dealers ordered some cars without options that did not add a visual effect or to lower the car list price. And a Limited Slip G80 was one of those items.
