Exterior cosmetic Difference between trans am and normal bird...

alright i think my moms going behind my back and buying me a third gen but all ive seen is a side view pic of it and i cant really tell if its a regular firebird, formula, or a trans am. its a 1990 and doesnt have a batwing spoiler so im guessing its not a T/A... r there any other ways to tell ?

Car: VIN=85 T/A, CAR=82/3 T/A gfx, go figure. She's a T/A anyway!
Engine: 5.0, Holley 600 cfm 4-barrel
Transmission: THM350 ??
Trans Am should have the vents in the front fender behind the wheels, as well as GFX.

Axle/Gears: 3.23
Fender vents were used on TransAms from 82-90.

91-92 have no Vents.

Firebirds, Formulas, and GTA's do not have fender vents.

I was refering to the GFX. Regular firebirds could have the TA ground effects in 1990 (like 92&92).

if it just has the reg flat spoiler it is most likely just a firebird and your best bet is that it might have an L03 (5.0 V8), but will most likely have a 3.1 V6 in it...
