PHS documentation questions

Just recieved the PHS for my 86 Trans Am. Car is Canadian and the only unique document to the car I recd is a PMD sheet called Detail of Canadian Shipments.
Lists about 30 RPO codes - such as AC3 power seat driver 6 way ..$168.82
B20 Luxury Trim Group ..$746.55
CC1 Locking Hatch roof removable ..$656.51

My RPO decal in the console (80 or so codes with same VIN) lists AC3 & AS5 for the power Recaro seats. Just wondering if anyone else has a PHS kit to compare against mine. Is it possible that the B20 at $746.55 included the AS5 recaro seats - & was an option "group" like the WS6

Shows the base W87F Trans AM at $9640.21 - could this be a US dollar figuire provided to GM Canada?

Hm, unfortunately I cannot compare mine against yours as I did not receive it yet. How long did take yours, from order to delivery? And are there any other means available to contact PHS, aside from the email (to which they do not seem to reply) ?

I mailed my PHS order from USA on November 13. It arrived Via Airmail to Canada on Dec 9. I also ordered the window sticker at the same time, but it has not arrived yet. -

Any one else find that their Canadian car PHS documents for 1986 were less than expected? - no interior-exterior colors/seating/selling dealer detail /build date etc.

You are correct.

Thanks 85TA WS6 . Did you ever get the PHS for your black 85 Recaro? I hope the window sticker is more complete!

I find it odd that the option prices you listed from PHS, are way under Dealer List. They look more like 1982 prices rather than 1986.

The B20 Luxury Trim could be had with either the Luxury Reclining seats (sounds like your description), Lear Siegler seats in cloth, Lear Siegler seats in leather with cloth trim, or the Recaro seats. The cost price was different depending on which seat.

86TARecaro:

All of the prices listed on the sheet are still lower than the Dealer Price by 9-10% and around 13% under Dealer Invoice. Along with the lack of freight charge, the only explanation for such is that the car was a GM employee order.

See how it compares to others if they reply.

You can get more and better information from GM Canada on the car than PHS.

Thanks for the pricing info!! My SPID on the consiole lid clearly shows that this is a Recaro equipped car. At this time I have no reason to suspect otherwise. I suppose that this pricing could be the charges to GM Canada, and Canadian dealer cost would be the next increment, then window sticker /invoice.
My next question is: how do I research the GM Canada data?- contacts?

The GM Vintage package will give you the breakdown on all the option codes as well as a number that was imported into CAnada. You will also get set of spec sheets for your year which details the engineering specs on the car (sorta neat).

You will also get the build date, ship date and which dealer got it.

You will not get anything relating to price. :-(

I suspect the PHS only lists the items that were listed on the order sheets, so items that were part of packages may not be individually broken out.

... makes me curious to run my 1988 Player's car and see if they have a listing for the Player's option ...

Mark.

Just thought i would throw this in.I had a recaro eqipped 86 T/A a couple of years ago and also did the PHS on it but mine looked alot different from yours.Mine showed the power seat and the recaro listed as seperate items and i want to say the recaro option on my PHS was a bit more than the $746 yours showed and the final price on mine was close to 20 Gs.If you want i will try to dig it up to show to you.

My Invoice for RPO B20 $845

Retail $995

This is confirmed in Standard Catalog of Firebird 1967-2002 by John Gunnell

The B20 Luxury Trim Group for a 1985 Trans Am includes "luxury front and rear seats, luxury doors, color keyed seatbelts, split folding rear seat, map pockets, carpeted cowl kick panel and adjustable Recaro bucket seats with Pallex cloth trim ($995)".

I appears the B20 could include any seat style with leather, leather / pallex, or pallex

Window sticker arrived today - also a dissapointment. No mention of Reacro seats/ exterior & interior color/ WS6 tire size /Canadian Excise tax on air conditioner...

Anyone from Canada have a known original CDN window sticker to compare?

Yesss

Right upfront, my dealer invoice:

I just received my PHS-documentation on my 88 Notchback. There was a sheet included which shows all the production figures from 1967 to 2002. And they are NOT matching with the GTA production figures on the gtasourcepage.com

Frankie, do you have an explanation for that? Is PHS wrong on the figures?

And this is my reproduced window sticker

On that repro window sticker shows up an RPO I have never seen, nor found any info on:

Y11 - VIP PLUS PKG

Can anybody explain me what this RPO is?

Y11

I can't confirm it, but from two different sites I found this:

Y11 RING GEAR, 10.50 IN., DANA (S.P.O )

This is from:http://team3rdgen.com/modules.php?name=RPO_Decoder

And another site I can't remember...

Interesting, I did not even notice that yet... Strange they had two abbreviations for the same thing: TPI
