trany info needed
trany info needed
i am thinking about bying a 88 and 84 the 88 do not have a engine or trany. the 84 has engine v6 2.8 i think and 4 spead with onerdrive what i need to now is will a will a 350 bolt up to the trany or will i need a new belhosing or will i need a beter trany.

a 350 engine to the (i assume)700r4 in the 84 wont work
2.8 is 60 degree, 35- is 90 degree
be careful with that 84

THe Bell housing for the V6 and the V8 re different, so you would need to find a trans from a Chevy V8.
Even if you get the housing to work I have read that the transmissions are slightly different on the inside, and putting a V6 trans with a V8 is not recommended.
