New Car, seems like a good deal.
Well I recently got a 1985 Trans Am 95-99% of this car is all orginal. It is a LG4 that the computer system was removed from but is still the factory system with a Edelbrock carb sitting on it. Its the orginal Blue (i think it might be the Mid. Royal Blue not sure) silver gfx. Suspension performance package, with the 3.08 and rear aluminium brake housings. It did have 15X7 according to RPO but has the 16X8. T Tops also are on the car. Interior is a little worn but a little work it be fine. Car is the auto with the 3.08 rear end. Gray interior.
Now what needs to be done.
The seats, foam is great shape, but the seat covers are shot.
Carpet
Console and lid (some idiot look like they sat on the lid, and because the sides on the console was seprating they used screws to but it back)
Paint needs to be touched up in a few spots(some spots recently happen i explain later)
No mechanical problems in the car, very solid, no butchering, so its clean for a daily criver to have some fun with and fix it up on the way. I have a complaint about the person doing the sound system but i probably remove it, sell it, and use a factory system (i kind like that, perfer factory style stuff).
The car has 163k miles on the body it self, and around 80k on the motor it was rebuilt. This guy kept it garaged and so did the guy before him, so the car has been garaged the hole time.
I got it Christmas Eve, a little odd, but it was my christmas present.
Anyways according to NADA the low retail on this car is 2,970 and if they count ttops as sunroof you can add another 5% to that, we paid 2,800 for it. Usually I wouldn't buy this high of miles on kind of common TA but out of the cars I have seen this was by far the cleanest running and looking one.
But today the car offically been on the road for only 2 days, and sitting at a stop sign i got rear ended by 80 year old man. This had me worried bad since i just got the dern car, but no damage but noticed some schuffs and knicks but the body and bumper was fine so i wasn't worried about it.
But overall what do ya'll think, sound like a decent deal.

Sounds like you got a nice looking T/A.Sorry to hear you got bumped but good no damage beyond scuffs to your nerves as well - you have to count that.
The darker blue is a beautiful color.I'm assuming your wheels have the silver center section,or are they gray?I'm of the same mind with the stereo.I was lucky with mine. They had used the adaptor harness and no butcher work had been done otherwise, also the radio was gone when I got her.I did score an AM/FM/Cassette-w/equalizer(it's even the AM stereo model)off of Ebaycheaper than I could imagine.

Well the wheels are the 20 solt 16X8 which are painted black with polished lip, not bad, but i could tell a individual did this somewhere down the line and not factory. But I probably change them somewhere, or not sure what.

Were the T/A wheels supposed to be color matched to the GFX like those on a Z28?Those wheels are one of the nicest designs IMHO.I had a '80 WS6 T/A with the 15X8 snowflakes.I read somewhere that those rims were some of the strongest and light weight factory rims ever made.
