I might be buying a posi out of a 91 formula, the rpo code sticker is gone and the drive shaft spins just over 3 times to one turn of the tire, it has a L98 with dual cats,10 bolt posi disc with PBR calipers (dont know if this helps). What gears are in this, 3.08 or 3.23????

They are 3.23s all L98 cars came with 3.23s so is most likely that unless some1 changed them.
Did you check to see if the car is a 1LE look at the brakes, aluminum spare.

They should be 3.23s. To confirm, your engine should be turning about 1,850 rpm @ 60 mphs in 4th gear with 3.23s.

 

Car either sounds G92 or 1LE (or both). Check it out.

The front brake rotors will be about 12". Dual piston calipers. Power option delete.

Where did 1LE come from in this post? All rear disc brakes in 89-92 are the PBR calipers. And your rear should be 3.23's, since 3.08's were never offered with an L98. Buy it if its in good shape.
