Car Show Judging
I want to register my car with Super Chevy Shows and attend the National Camaro Convention in California this summer and need to know if anyone has ever entered their car in a major show. I am looking for information on 1000 point judging. I need to know what the judges look for so I can focus some attention in those areas. Any help would be appreciated from those that have been to or are planning on doing the same.

Scott,
I won my class at the Super Chevy Show in Tucson, Arizona on March 20-22, 1998 with my 1987 Z28 convertible. Class winners were allowed to look at our points distribution sheets on request, but I was so ecstatic about winning that I didn't care.... and never looked. Sorry I can't help.

I have spoken to World Wide Camaro. As a member, I can get the book from them on judging for $25. Instead of spending $25 plus shipping, I thought I might try and find the secrets for free. If I don't find the answers by spring, I'll have to buy the book. I'm hoping that my car will bring 950+ as is, but I could be wrong.

At the time, my convertible was all original except one part, a supercharger. Although I wanted to be in the stock class, the blower placed me in the '82 - '92 modified class. I was bummed, but I still won.
Today, my car is all original as such a rare piece should be.
They tell all class winners to make sure your name is spelled correctly after picking up your award. I did so, but my last name was still misspelled in their magazine. My one and only claim to fame and my name is wrong..... oh well...
