Al Unser Jr Silver Bullet Edition 83 Camaro...
Just looking through some notes I had I found this car in VA for sale a few years ago. She was an 83 Berlinetta/305LG4 built in Van Nuys. VIN was 1G1AS87H6DL3****.
Anyone ever heard of this? Probably a dealership thing? Looked like most a badge type option, I think the interior was a little fancy also.

i have the same editioned car built in van nuys which is a 1986 LB9 camaro Z-28 vin is 1G1FP87F3GL15****
ive had a hard time trying to figure out where this car came also.. i found the car in a field in Zuni NM.. original owner is gone but the daughter of the owner said the car was bought from alburqurque NM.. Im not sure if this would narrow it down or if im way off
history of the unsers is the al jr was originally from alburqurque... Im not sure if thats correct but thats all ive been told

I know for the recent Monte Carlo's there were several cars where they made a Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, Dale Earnhart, & Jr & Tony Stewart models (do not kill me if I spelled their names wrong).
I am 99% sure they got "Permission" from the respective people to put their name and signature on the cars, so I would suspect that Al Unser Jr. probably did authroize someone to make cars with his name. He may actually own a Chevrolet dealership or part of one and made them for himself... I am 99.9% sure it was not an Offical GM thing, more than likely a dealer thing...

the intresting part of the car was it had the duel cats and exhast pipes that were 3 to4 inchs.. (which amazed me since my iroc had much smaller pipes n 1 cat) im sure the rocker panels are aluminum since the paints peeling.
