what years did the door get cup holders? I think it was only the 91 92 firebirds.? also was this assy actually a cup holder or a map holder with a cup like area at the front.? How well does it hold a drink?? Pics of these installed would be greatly appreciated, as i am considering getting a pair for my car. thnx again THE SHAGGY IROC

It is both a cup and a map holder and it works wonderfully(holds any size cup)when it's not broken, they tend to break off mine are fine but Others iv'e seen either are missing or hanging by 1 bolt the reason is that the cup holder area is big and it tends to be kicked when exiting the car another problem is when you have NON car enthusiast people riding in your car they tend to want to grab the map holder section instead of the door handle to close the door.

They came standard on all 90-92 firebirds.
They have a cup holer thing in hte front and a map pouch area towards the middle of the door.
They hold about any size drink rather well.

They were not on ALL 90 up birds... only the ones with power windows. They're mounted roughly where the handcranks are located on manual windows.

Here's the only pic I have handy of the cupholder in my 91 Formula.
