I have a 1992 camaro RS that came with a 3.1 automatic now its a worked motor buti need to know does anyone know what gears came with 92s RS. Is there any site that anyone knows where i can post my vin # and they can show ever part of history of my car if so can u please print it

 

Probably 3:23's... check your rpo's and use the decoder here.

They're 3.23s. 3.42 are available on V-6 RS only with a manual tranny.

thanks for replying now i tryed putting my vin number on the decoder in third gen but dosent really give me much information

 

3.42s came on 2.8s with MPFI, 3.23s came on 3.1 MPFIs. My '89 2.8 RS auto has 3.42s

I just found out my gear ratio on my car and im suprised i have 3:23 gears i figured o had 2:73 now i know when i had the 3.1 i felt a little kick in flooring it thanks guys for replying

 

Not your VIN number, your RPO codes. There's a whole bunch of them on a sticker, which is probably in your back locking storage compartment. Look for the codes that start with G.
