If your car has not had the recall done already the dealer does by law have to honor it.
Having been a tech at a pontiac dealer i saw that alot. your V.I.N.# will be logged into the computer system if it had it done so have your local dealer look up your vin and see if it has been done.

What Dave said

AND:

You should give GM's national service number a call. They will be able to look up any recalls that your car qualifies for (if any) based on your VIN. They should also know if your car has had any recall repairs done to it already. If there are recalls that can be done to your car, they'll tell you what you need to do to take care of it.

I called up Pontiac a few months ago to see if there were any recalls for my car, but there weren't any.

Good luck!

Damn Dirk, thanks for the bad news A I was reading this post and thinking maybe I should find out about a recall on my car since my drivers side seatbelt just broke, then I saw your post and we have the same car. Now I have to pay to get it fixed.....
