1982 4 cylinder?!?

I have not heard of many four cylinder 1982 Camaros being made. I read in the q&a part of the newest Summit catalog that some guy took the origional 4 out of his 82 Camaro and put in a 350. I just thought that this is a kinda rare car to perform that swap on. Anyone agree?

Between 1982-1985, there were 45,733 "Iron Dukes". I wouldn't call that rare, but an unusual find. Considering they aren't desireable, who cares what someone does to it? That's what I think anyway.

Its fun to say I have a 4cyl Camaro or Firebird and the initial look of disbelief in people's eyes, but the car's not worth anything more than that.

It is a neat conversation piece though...and you gotta admit, 35 MPG makes it one stylish economy car for a daily driver!

I don't know about the 35 MPG, my dad's celebrity has an iron duke and it only gets around 25 in town and I't probably lighter than a thirdgen. But there is one thing that's good about them, you can stand in the engine bay to work on them

I pulled the head on my bird while standing in the engine bay, That was with the fan in place. I can't anymore though. The sbc takes a little more space.
