I own a 87 camaro 5.7 350 w/ t-tops but everyones telling me there was no such thing witch bogled me...i did research and didnt find much. dose any one have any clues??? also if it is a rare car or something??? i want to paint it with a new color not stock, and a custom upholsterd intirior.

 

It's a common misconception. T-Tops were available on Iroc-z's with 350's in 87, 88, & 89. After the HP was bumped up to 245 in 1990, T-tops disappeared from 350 cars.

You should check your SPID label in your console for RPO CC1. That will tell you for sure that your car originally came with T-Tops.
There are aftermarket T-tops out there. But they are mainly 90-92 cars when T-tops weren't as available as they were in 87.

 

Chances of anyone doing that is low. There are tons of early-model IROC's and Z's with t-tops and an L98.

 

Doesn't mean it didn't happen. The two C&C t-top cars I have seen in person both were t-top available cars. Mine is a 88 Trans Am 305 5-speed and the other was a 91/92 RS w/ a 305 TBI motor.

 

They did sell 91 and 92 Formulas with T-Tops and the 350.. But I think the Formula was the only 3rd gen that offered them. .

You're right... There are a LOT of 87-89 350 equipped T-top cars around...

 

Yep, I know of an 88 GTA with C&C tops. Go figure.

 

dont feel bad I get the same thing with my 87 Iroc 350 of course I get people that tell me its a 305 with T-tops lol I just laugh & point in my center console box where its says L98 & CC1 lol

Of course I cant do that right now because its no longer a 350 its a 355 lol
