Did the '88 350 TPIs come with 2 different ECUs?

i have heard the 88 350s came with 2 different ECUs. Is this true? Can anyone verify? What are the part #s?

No, as far as I know they all used the 165 MAF computer.

the part number for computers in 1988 are:

#1227727

that number is for both F-Body and Corvette from 1987-1989 and then used ONLY in the Corvette from 1990-1992

I think the 88 cars use the 1227165 computer. The 1227727 is the 90-92 Corvette computer only.

Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI
Transmission: 700R4, M5
Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
I have found in a few cars where the ECU numbers were different, I think it might be because of a rebuilt/refurbished ECU. I am not positive, but that is what I have seen.
