Finding A 1991-92 GTA???
I have decided that I have to get rid of my Firebird. Kepping it is only going to cost me money, money that I don't really have. I want to go to college, and eventually buy a house with a driveway and a garage, to keep a 3rd Gen in.
I already know what I will be looking for, when the time comes for me to buy another 3rd gen. I have 3 that I would "accept". Does anyone have any idea what my chances are of finding any one of these cars? I want on in good condition, not showroom-like, or anything, but nothing that needs a ton of work. I would prefer a '92 over a '91. The more options, the better. I'm not usually one for wanting a top-of-the-line car, but for a late 3rd Gen, I would like a pretty loaded model. I really, really want a hardtop, I just think they looks better. I also want a 350/Auto combination.
So, here are our contestants:
1991-92 GTA
1991-92 "regular" Trans Am
1991-92 Formula 350
Any suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated!

Depending on how large a city you live in, finding a 91 GTA shouldn't be that hard... You should see 91 GTAs in your local paper.. I live in a city with a pop of about 700,000 and I see the odd one for sale each year... If you don't mind travelling, there are a lot of cars being sold over the internet.. The Formula should be relatively easy to find as well..
Lots of luck finding a 1992.. There were *very* few made.. I think there were only about 274 sold in all of the US and Canada..

Come on now! Manitoba has a city with a population of 700,000? Maybe if you're talking about the mosquito population!

A 1991 Trans Am or gta is gonna be easier to find.Than a 92 since not many were made.
Good luck in your search.

Bob,
You and I share the same dream car obviously. I love the '91-'92 GTA 3rd Gen above all others.
Check the production numbers... If you see a '92 GTA for sale somewhere, you know it's a collector. Roughly 3K made in for the US and Canada in '91 and only 274 for '92. Yes, I pick only the hardest things to come by for my envy items.
I've given up on trying to find one of these for my own (for now) but have focused on trying to find a set of the rear lights for my '91 Firebird. Equally as difficult.
