Can the convertible top be stored in the down position for long periods of time. The car is always garaged and I always drive with the top down. Will this hurt the top? It looks like the window lays flat and the rest is cloth, not sure if it is safe to store down all the time.
Thanks for all your help, I am a new to this whole convertible thing. Have had a few 3rd gens, but this is my first drop top.

If there is any moisture build up (which happens indoors and out) you will have a mold problem in a big way.
You may get some ugly folds and wrinkles in the top that aren't going to come out easily.
I think you'll be much better off leaving it up and spending the 2 minutes to put the top down properly each time you drive it.

The answer depends on how you drive and where you live. I live in So. Cal. My top is down most of the time as well and being i live here I don't have a mold problem to deal with. If you leave the top up cover the car. UV is a major killer of the rear plastic window. I have a interior cover from California Car Cover Co. to cover the interior with the top left down.
