Just curious... Was there a convertable ever made?

Yea there was. In 1989, GM said it was not factory authorized. Sometime later (late 90's) they changed their mind and said it was. Whatever.
Go here, 89, 350, I checked out the VIN, it doesnt list as a convertible (this is normal, I dont think a single TA vert pre-91 shows up correctly on the VIN tag) but it is a true ASC conversion done on a new car, not some customer's car.

So will I. There was one for sale that was in Colorado about 4 months ago, sold for around 7000 IIRC. It was an 88, 305, 5speed, and digital dash (ewwwwww). It was that rust red metallic color, whatever that one is actually called.
