84 L69?

How can you tell the difference between the L69 and the standard engine? thanks for any help

Car: 1990 Pontiac Trans Am

Engine: 355 TPI siamesed runners

Transmission: Tremec T56

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73

The L69 engine has a dual-snorkel air cleaner, while the LG4 engine is a single snorkel. If the intake is missing, I dont know how to tell.

The Trans Am's have a single snorkel air cleaner on both engines.

Ummmm.... drive it. The L69 is about 1½ seconds quicker than the LG4.

VIN codes are different too: 8th digit is "H" for LG4, "G" for L69
