2002 "Collector Edition" TA

I was just cruising the camaroz28.com page and saw the new 2002 Collector Edition TA. I must say, I wasn't very impressed. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die-hard Pontiac man, I own 2 GTAs and one 97'WS6, but I think that the car nut got screwed again. When is there going to be a special edition TA worth and unique the money? I loved the 94 and 99 Anniversary cars, but I still thought that it would have been awesome to have a car with performance to outrun a "base" model TA. Before you go saying, "Firehawk", in my opinion GM ruined that also. The Formula was the perfect chasis, lighter than a TA and unique. I could order a stripped down version and not pay all of the extra money for the TA in the first place.

Sure, I'm sure Pontiac will sell them all, but in my personal opinion, a muscle car doesn't need stripes and a loud paint job to be a Collector Edtion: may be next time Pontiac and GM will spend the money on something all of us would love-under the hood!

Just my .02

I agree, I was expecting a monster underneath the hood. Instead they did nothing special. But, I think the '89 Turbo TA is a special edition worth while, and it out performed the base TA. I do feel that they should have done something to the 2002 cars, I have no idea what...but something. I do not like the new spoiler on it....I actually like the spoilers from the rest of the 4th gen's. But I think the 2002 TA looks much better than the 2002 camaro. As usual, the TA looks better...nothing new. No offense you camaro owners...I am just a pontiac guy. But I do admit the '91-'92 camaros looked better than the '91-'92 TA's.

Yes I agree that more ponies would have been nice and the styling is pretty out there. But I still like it. I have never come across a firebird that I didnt like

I think I could live with one.
