SLP installed exhaust FROM SLP
Is it rare to have an official SLP stainless old school tri-y header exhaust system installed? I have a sticker saying it's been installed by SLP blah blah, it's on my radiator shroud. The only funny thing is that my car was an Lo3. It didn't make gobs of power but it sill got treated to some SLP goodies :-). How many RS camaro's got this exhaust setup?

I don't think it is factory ... as far as I know only birds got the option for the SLP treatment (could be totally wrong) and only TPI.
It could be that the owner new about it and had it installed after the fact, but if you do have the triY the are better then the new 4-1 style, so with a cat-back that could be some good extra power out of the LO3.

- Dynomax muffler

living near SLP, i wouldn't say it's any better than the muffler shop down the street except you can say you have an "SLP" exhaust, i'm sure it was better than the stock setup for whatever it's worth to you.
SLP has made some nice rides in their time, but as far as their aftermarket line; it's nothing to rave about.

The SLP Performance packages were available from any GM dealer. Generally they consisted of tpi parts, cold air induction, runners, and of course the headers and catback. Your car could have had the parts installed at a GM dealership when the original owner took delivery or it could have happened anytime between delivery and when GM parts counters stopped selling the slp parts.
