the other day i was lookin in the local classifids and well to my surprise i saw a 1999 z28 1LE , 1 of 11 made for that year and it only has 16,000 original miles and its only $16,000. and the kool part is that the car is hugger orange. id luv to see the car but id have to find out where the guy lives and whatnot. does anyone think this is a really rare car sinceonly 1 of 11 made. i mean if i actually had the money and a cleaned out garge id get it and garge it. but oh well. just to let yall know. later

 

4th gen 1LE's are indeed rarer than third gens, just like ALL 4th gens have less production than third gens

I met a guy that has a '99 1LE, and he told me he was told about 20 were produced...

 

There has to be something wrong with that car, think about it, if it wasn't rare and still only had 16k miles, that would be a good deal, but throw in the fact that there are only 11, it should be more than $16k.

THe thing about the 1LE on the 4th gen is what they are available on. I know that you cvant get a Trans AM 1LE, you have to get the 1LE on the Fromula V8. You can order them anytime you want early in the model year. THe thin is, they are not as special as the 3rd gens are anyways. Nobody even cares. I would rather have the WS6 package or SS package with a lot of SLP goodies rather than get a 1LE. That is why there are so few of them, and the 1LE is not the "hot" RPO anymore, so in the long run it wont matter
