The Tojan were an aftermarket conversion. I classify them in the same group as the Mecham MSE, aftermarket convertibles, fbody based kit cars, etc... They aren't really a GM product, the Firebird served as the baseline and parts were added and removed to create a different car. IMHO a stock t/a looks better.

Wow thats news to me...

wow this is news to me...it looks like a cross between a Datsun and a Faebaed (firebird pronounced FAYBAYD), its different and the more you look at it the more it grows on you hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm kinda badass...imagine having that no one would know what the hell it was...I WANT IT

Hi Tom Batts!
Question for you. In the first post, you show it as an 1986. Then, later you state it's an 1988. I take it, it's a 1986???
I remember looking at them when they were new. At the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in 1986! I met the President of the company, and got his personal business card (which I still have). I even picked up a brochure. Then later, I cut an ad out of the local newspaper of one.
Have you ever seen the Tojan with the big, rear spoiler? I always thought that it gave the car alittle more class.
Don't worry about what others say about your car, I like it!! Just remember, it's yours!!!
I guess that no one likes the Avanti! The new ones were all made off the fourth gen F-body, powered by the LS-1 engine! I wouldn't enen mind having one of those!

These cars could have been ordered with recaro seats. I have seen them. However, I don't know if that option is from Pontiac or from the maker of the Tojan, itself. But their lit shows the Recaro oprion.
When the car was new, it was alittle over 30 grand!!
