Do think that the f-body Camaros and Firebirds will sought after musclecars in the future much like the Chevelles and old Camaros are now? I have a '87 T/A and I think I am going to hold on to it because I think I am going to kick myself for selling it when it is a looked after car. What do you guys think?

From the AP wire:

The last existing example of a vintage Chevrolet Camaro from the 1980's sold at Sotherby's Auction today for 223 million Euros. This ultra rare museum piece still retains its original internal combustion engine, which was last operated nearly a hundred years ago before petroleum was banned by the United Nations. The vehicles original price of $18,500 us translated into todays currency would equal approximately 196 million Euros. The buyer remains anonymous.

By the way, that was pulled from the April 1, 2392 AP wire

i would say probley not, the 80's f-bodys were probley the worst quility and most unwanted of the f-boys, the unique cars will allways have value (TTA's GTA's) but kinda like the mid 70's f-bodys are not really worth much except fot the 455 t/a's and formula. the 80's f-bodys i know will never be concitered a muscle car becuase they never were.

In my opinoin: Yes.

Every generation loves the cars of their youth. Baby boomers that grew up around muscle cars are now buying their childhhod dream cars now that they are grown and have the money. I believe that the 3rdgen F-body will be just as collectible as any other sports car from the era because adults often desire what they didnt have as kids. I know of plenty of adults who are now buying 2nd gens because they always wanted one when they were younger, I see no reason why this trend would stop.

I am only 19 and know that if/when I am situated with a home and an expendable income I would love to have a clean/ restored "classic" 3rdgen in the future.

However...I also predict that many muscle cars will drop in price over the next decades because the people that wanted them will be dying off, sounds morbid but true (have you priced a vintage/ classic Model T, in the 60's-70's they were commanding huge $, now that not many people want them the prices are pretty low)

1999 TransAm
1990 T-Bird SC
1971 Boss 351

Four TransAm's are not enough. Firebirds for all.

I would definetly say YES. People are already starting to ask crazy high prices for them when they are in good to gr8 condition, especially IROC-Z's with 350's.

ALSO to other Third Gen owners here, do not pay attention to anything T68 says about Third Gen's, because when it comes to them, he is always clueless. Actually, he is clueless with alot more things than just Third Gen's.

I've seen them with 60,000 miles for $9,500 and 90,000 miles for $7,500, things like that, some aren't even negotiable sometimes!! Thats too much right now for them. They should be like $5,500-$6,500 for those and maybe negotiable. I've seen some crazy prices because I've been looking for 1 for such a while.
