Y82 ???
what exactly is the Y82 code for. I thought it was supposed to be just for Recaro seat equipped Trans Am's BUT if it were just to signify what seats were used then it does not explain why the Y82 code is on the jacking instructions on the spare tire cover and also on the rear window defrost swtich on the dash. what excatly is the definition for Y82 ???????????

Y82 - '83, '84, '89 - LIMITED EDITION OPTION PACKAGE.
Used for:
'83 25th Anniversary Daytona Edition Trans Am.
'84 15th Anniversary Edition Trans Ams.
'89 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am.
Y84 - '82-'84 - Trans Am Special Edition (Recaro Edition)
Y84 - '87-'92 - Trans Am GTA Option Package
The Recaro seats had their own codes.
Used for:
