VIN Decode plz
Wondering if anyone would decode this vin for me. I did the carfax check and it says it has a 305TBI, but the engine is a TPI... Anyways, here it is
1G2FW21F9HN222xxx (xxx= last 3 digits of serial numb.)
Any help would be appreciated!!!

Engine: 305 LB9 Tuned Port Injection
Transmission: 700-R4 Automatic
Axle/Gears: Saginaw 10 bolt 2.73 posi
Carfax made a mistake
, not an uncommon occurrence. Your VIN, 1G2FW21F9HN222xxx, shows a 1987 Trans Am equipped with an LB9 305 with tuned port injection, assembled at the Norwood, Ohio plant with a build date from December 1986-February 1987. I have a Norwood assembled 87 built in November 1986 with the same engine.

Besides, throttle body injection didn't return to the Firebird line until the 1988 model year.
