Common problems

Hi everyone, I am going to look at a Z-28 tommorow and was wondering if any one had a list of common problems or stress points to look for on the third gen cars. I have owned 3 F-bodys in the past including a very rough shape 87 IROC. My experiences lean more towards the second gen though. This car is carbed with a 5spd, and T-tops, so naturally I am worried about frame Stress and places to look for cracks.. interior I am not to worry about... the car is suppost to be rust free, but I dont know if I believe it.. so If any one could let me know where to look for consealed rot. any info would be awsome.

Thanks in advance!

The one place that I've heard of stress cracks forming is in the C-Pillar (I think) or sail panel area. You might also want to check the power steering box area closely for cracks and leaking which might indicate stress on the box (a common problem solved with a Wonderbar). I don't think that there are any unusual places to look for rust- the floorpan, inner fender wells, the door edges, etc.
