what color name was given to paint code 21 in 1982 ?


and does anyone have a car this color ?

seems rare as hell

i think ive seen two on here ever,
and ive done alot of digging and searching
i really like the color and my 82 will be this original factory color again, dumping the retarded purple that it is right now

The color is Dark Blue metallic I would say its kinda rare,But not as rare as Jadestone metallic or Dark Jadestone.

my interior is dark blue yeah

but the firewall and underhood and under carpeting is a super bright light blue like baby sky blue

thats not dark blue, if it is then im the easter wabbit

its like robin egg blue, super light

I'm going out on a limb here, and quote the Firebird Red Book.

It says code 21 is called Light Blue Metallic.
I don't know if it's rare or not, but I would be changing that purple, too.
Post some pictures of the new paint job, when you can.

Leon is right; code 21 is Light Blue Metallic. I have seen a few, here is a pic of mine. Note, there isn’t a Trans Am decal on the fender but I think it’s the original fender because it has the correct date code but has been repainted at some point. There is a bit of over spray on the power brake booster.
