Color of stabilizer bars

Color of stabilizer bars

I'm just starting with the overhaul of the suspension of my 89 GTA which means media blasting and powder coating of the parts.

I can get the parts powder coated in

- flat black
- semi GLOSS black
- gloss black

My question is: what was the original color of the parts, especially of the the front and rear stabilizer bar?

I believe they were supoesd to be SemiGloss Black...

SEM makes the correct color, it covers well and its good paint, dont forget to prime...

I've never seen paint on the steering components like tie rods, etc. The a-arms were painted up to a line near the ball joint that was straight from front-back, and some had orange paint on the ball joint-arm connection. Springs were the same black as the sway bars, and as far as I could tell... they did not primer those parts.
