89 is the 20th Anniversary of the Trans Am, which is the one that GM "celebrates" for the Firebird line. There was no 1989 Anniversary Edition, outside of the TTA in a way, for the 20th. At least not in the way there was for the 84 and 94 which had the white paint with blue stripes and special badging. It could be a dealer option thing.

A Firebird Anniversary would be 1992.
Trans Am is 1989, besides the every 5 year white/blue stripes edition.
Formula started in 1970. Dropped in 1982, brought back in 1987.

It may be a dealership Anniversary model...

Pontiac did not offer an anniversary Formula ever to my knowledge. At least from 1987-1992.

Unless its an unknown LC2 powered Turbo Formula... THAT would be awesome. Unlikely however.

Find me an Engine, Trans and the Dash and I will....

oh yeah, I almost forgot, call my wife ask for a loan for me ...

I have been wanting to do that for YEARS... living in Flint, MI, (Buick Town) my passion for the Firebird and living here would only seem to be fitting...
