Well, colllege is coming up, and my modified third gen probably is not the way to go. Ive put a lot of time and money into it though, so i dont know if it is worth selling. I think I would rather go with an all stock car, even if it is a third gen, just for better reliability. anyways, heres the post i made in the for sale boards. keep in mind, i live right next to a pretty rich suburban area, so i could probably fetch a little more. anyhow, heres the post i made.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/cama...-sale-zzz.html

thanks a lot guys. if i cant get much for it, i guess ill hold on to it...does it look like the value of modified, non iroc cars that are clean are going up in value at all? also, i have access to a set of the original charcoal wheels, would that help it, or is it considered a modified now, and stock wheels would be less modified? thanks a lot.

Dude, I say keep it and start learning to use public transportation until you can get a cheapo Honda Civic or something.

ask your parents for advise, not TGO.

What do you think the smartest decision is?

Im in your boat cept i have a decent paying job, its easy if i let my car go i could save so much money but i cant let it go. So either take the insurance off and store the damn thing till you can afford to pay for it or sell it now.

Its all up to you and your decision in the end that counts as long as its your car.

Your life is more important then a camaro is and its HARD for me to say that. I give advise better then i take it.

well yea, i just want something more practical. im still gonna have a car for college though. im just wanting something better suited for me. i wont be able to maintain a job and go to classes, which is what my job right now is for. its so i have money to live on in college, so my money now is mostly going to savings. so id rather have something that i can be more dependant on.

i wasnt asking for advice, im just wanting to know how much i should expect to bring in for the car. that way i know what kind of stuff to look at for the next car.

I don't see much history or restoration to this thread. The original questions have not been answered. Keep it on topic or this will be closed. Opinions on what he should do doesn't belong here.

The original post is fine. Nobody has yet to give you an answer. The only responses were personal opinions on what you should do.

With such low miles on a new engine and that many mods and being so clean, I don't see it that far out of reach really.

And no I would not, sorry.

I wouldnt pay more than 3500. Third gens are a dime a dozen in my area.

Id just spend a few bucks and sent it to someone knowledgable, get her tuned up and running right.

Depends on how you market it. It would only be worth the sum of the parts to me, y ou jmade it a cool car, but it sounds like it did not start out as the highly optioned model. I think you past the point of dimenishing returns. I assume we all have. On ebay I would guess $6000. If you do decide to sell it, try a specific magazine that mostly sells cool cars. Try listing it on Used Cars, New Cars, Buy a Car, Sell Your Car - AutoTrader.com. Look for other cars that are similar in your region.

8 or 9K $.

I'll eat my underwear if u get that for it.

I could seriously believe $4k maybe, if your lucky nearer 6K but I wouldnt hold my breath.

By the way this isnt an attack on you or your car, I've bought and sold and currently own 3 thirdgens and worked at dealers, I'm being realistic with you

Cars never get u back what u put in, unless your talking extremely rare or extremely desireable.

Its modified and it has no rust and a pretty good looking interior from the pics.

The body and dings are a killer though, its not a little ding in the pics, thats a big ding.

If it were me and you can pull it off and dont have to have the $$$ from the sale of the car, find a friend, family, etc that you can store it at long term.

Then go find a nice trusty 91-95 Saturn and just keep the oil full and beat the hell out of it while u get 30+mpg :-)

Been there done that.

I just looked at the pics..the dents are doable for a PDR guy. If the one in the door is the biggest dent, then you're ok. A few hundred dollars and the body can be dent free on all panels. You'll get more for it with the dents gone, but then you'll have just that much more into it!
