Can someone tell me if they made a 1990 iroc 1-le convertible with the l-98 option/automatic??? the owner says it's a numbers matching car. Did they make such a car??? if so,,, how valuable and how rare???? thanks in advance,,,,Matt

The 1LE option in 1990 would have only been available on the hard top. No convertibles were 1LE's and they did not have 350's either from GM.
would it have been possible to get a convertible option from an aftermarket source??? I am veery new to these cars,,,is there something i could ask the owner that would make dang sure it wasn't a 1le???? like a disk brake rear or some type of rpo code and where to find it????

ACS did conversions for customers after they bought their car from GM. However, once they got the contract from GM to build convertibles in 1987, customer converted cars became less common.
I would find it hard to believe that someone would buy a 1990 L98 1LE and then send it to ACS after the fact and have it turned into a convertible. Either way it was not built by GM that way.

I believe 1988 was the last year ASC performed conversions for individuals. I have seen a handful of these but never seen or heard of a 1989 or newer customer conversion.
