CFI owners please help me!
I tried posting this in the Electronics forum and have yet to get a reply...since there seems to be more "restoration" traffic here I will post the link to my thread. I really need help on this so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
Mods, please don't delete this, or if appropriate move the original thread here. I figured electronics would be appropriate, but maybe restoration would be better.
Thank you.

1982TA I'll look through your pictures and compare the connectors to the ones on my '83 Z28.And I'll get back with you as best as I can to ID them. What makes it fun is the fuel pump relay and the air door relay are identical. The difference is the wire harness colors and the fuel pump relay has a single red wire with a separate connector coming off it(you have it in SIMG0007 but I'll verify so I'm not telling you backwards).I'm lucky mine is all stock and not chopped at all.The only thing non stock electrical is later model dual fans that use external dual thermostats to control them.
Do you have the factory service manual for her?If you don't it is an immense help.I got one for my '83 off of Ebay(and it takes some patience and you'll get a deal on one).

You’re still working on getting your car back to CFI! That’s cool. Are you sure you have the correct harness? I’ll go take some pics of my car and we’ll see if it helps.

I wont be driving anytime soon though...since my shifter, tranny, or something decided to just go out on me. Shifter shifts, but feels really loose and the car wont change gear. I can also hear/feel something moving in the column right up at the column/shift bowl. Broken cable?? For some reason I can start the car up in gear though
I just got home from watching fireworks running in first gear all the way!! Not fun...now I have another project on my hands Joined: Feb 2004

I replied to your other thread

I don't generally read the electrical section. So if you hadn’t posted here I probably would've missed it. I think this definitely falls within the restoration category.
