Need a few more details. After 6 years of doing fairly extensive digging into Camaro history, I have never heard of such a car. Unless proven otherwise, I'd have deny that such a car existed. I'm not saying your dad is lying, he might just be misinformed or lied to.
Do you have any supportive evidence or documentation? Without that, even if it's true, it is then assumed not to exist.
It would be cool if it did though. Anything that makes it unique?

No i cant, its my dad's friend at work who just bought it. I have no idea who the guy is.
Update: i miss heard my dad, the car was from a dealership in california and that dealership had customized 10 of those cars. That explains why ive never heard of one before. sorry for the confusion.

Easy explanation. Someone took an emblem off a Mitsubishi and put it on a Camaro. tada... Camaro Mirage.
Otherwise, no, it never existed.

I've found if there was an "official" model made, you'll find it using Google.. If you type in 'COPO Camaro' or 'Tojan Firebird' you'll get lots of hits despite the fact that both were pretty rare.
A search for Mirage Camaro comes up with nothing...
