PW7 Rims.... In Colors
I know that there have been numerous discussions on this and other sites regarding the PW7 diamond-spoke rims used on Trans Ams and GTAs (and late Formulas) being offered in the various colors.... gold, black, silver, charcoal, white, and red.
I just ran across this car this past Saturday about 25 miles from my home and had to snap a photo of it.... as it features the elusive red PW7 rims. This marks the first time I've ever seen these wheels on a T/A in person. Also, the center cap was the black Pontiac "WS6" with the silver logo and lettering....

Great find Frankie! I have always wanted to see the red in person. I have seen most of the other colors.
Thanks for snapping that pic!

I've seen 2-3 red PW7, with about as many white ones. Seems to be the 'rare'.

However, the previous owner didn't take good care of the car, so the brake dust has stained the white on them

I need to do a PHS package. I have assumed the PW7 white rims are stock as I rarely see them I doubt a previous owner found a set.

That was something else I don't quite understand, unless the caps where changed out. All my GTAs have the ws6 center caps.
However, seeing another similar in appearance on the exterior is pretty rare thing to me.

IIRC, the birds on most TAs Red birds on the tail. My GTA I didn't have the center caps on, so I cannot say for sure, and my GTA is a 91, so even then it wouldn't prove anything. I might just have to go measure the sway bars and see if I might have the WS6 option, it might shed a little more light on our cars, or add to the confusion on your car

The bird in the center taillight is silver, as is the birds on the quarter panel roof, and the birds in the center caps are silver too. So it does all match. I never really dug into it, but I found it odd that it didn't have the ws6 caps, like the GTAs, unless it was a normal T/A thing.
