Shift **** Question

Found this yesterday in a 1982 Firebird at my local salvage yard.I was wondering if anyone can tell me what years these ***** were used.Also is this what they refer to as a knight rider shift ****?

82-83 had them..looks like you are missing the button though...refered to as knight rider shift *** because knight rider used 82-83 trans-ams

I thought that was the knight rider ****.It was still on the shift lever but the button was missing.I searched the car but couldnt find it anywhere.So i just removed the ****.It still has the metal tangs intact

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt 2.77
I'm pretty sure these were '82 only. 83 got the "T-Handle" shifter. I think Grand Prix's and Grand Am's of the same year got them also....I know they got the PMD seats.

possible but I had a few 83s that had them..still got one lying around somewhere

83 got them too, with the 200c tranny

everyone knows this...

thousands were made and installed in 82 and 83

nothing rare

knight rider freaks make it seem like they are though

what buttons are you talking about, are these the "bird" emblems? I found out that '82 Pontiac 6000's had the PMD seats also, but these are probably very hard to find in the junkyards.

Also another 1 year only item is the heater controls. The graphics for the fan speed are different in '82 than '83-'84.
