***Emblem Color Question***

Did the Z28 rocker & bumper emblems for a 87" IROC match the paint color or were they all grey?

For years when the IROC-Z was an option on the Z28 (1985-87), the IROC-Zs "Z28" emblems were three-tone silver. The Z28's emblems were color matched to the body when equipped with silver ground effects. They were gold when the ground effects were gold. For example:

1987 IROC-Z in bright blue metallic used three-tone silver emblems.
1987 Z28 in bright blue metallic with silver accents used three-tone blue emblems.
1987 Z28 in bright blue metallic with gold accents used three-tone gold emblems.

Yellow was the color that broke all color-coordinated rules. It was the only color available on the 1987 Z28 where the accent color (silver) did NOT match the interior (available only in camel). This color combo came with silver emblems and GRAY striping. The only time gray (not silver) striping was used.

It varies. I noticed that my back logo (all the logos on the outside of mine are Z28, even though it has the IROC package) is gold, the kicker panels are silver, and the wheel hubs are gold. The dash logo is red, and is the only IROC-Z logo on the car. It's Dark Red Metallic, or at least that's the closest I could discern from the fuzzy scan of the dealer order guide I saw. (I think the door stickers were taken off to prevent breaking and entering. Damn you California and your high crime rate. *shakes fist*)

To confirm, you might wanna look for pictures of cars your cars color. Not too hard to find, especially around here.
