I found a 1989 IROC, 5.7, no t-tops, rear window louvers, perfect body, great interior, very clean, very straight, 58,000 documented miles, CarFax says no wrecks, all clean. They want $8,500. What do you guys think?

I've been following the market for a while now and that seems to be a decent price. It may be a little high but it all depends on the condition and how it was taken care of. I've seen 60k miles cars that look like they should have 160k, and visa-versa. Pics would also help.
Bought it for $8,000...... I am happy!

wow, looks great. glad your happy with it. i think you got a pretty good deal. Is it an original DX3(stripe delete) car? my dad has a 88 iroc vert with the DX3 option. good luck with her

Yes, it was ordered with the stripe delete. (-60.00). I was worried at first, as I thought it had been repainted and the stripes left off. You learn something everyday!!Originally Posted by Red1992V6Rs

Actually, I think they are a fairly rare option too, not sure though.

Nice find - And if the louvers are original equipment, I'd probably leave them there. Besides, it makes me think of listening to Molly Hatchet and cruising town :-)
Nice find, enjoy!!!
Love those hardtop cars

I hope I am not screwing up by putting the ProCharger on her.....

It is a factory Delco/Bose CD, but from a later year car. The original owner put it in before I bought it. I have the original AM/FM cassette in a box. This CD player seems to do well with the rest of the Bose system.Originally Posted by Codename 47

I will be honest, I looked at alot of third gens before deciding on this car. I had just sold an 02' SS and wanted another IROC. When I found this one, I jumped on it. Originally Posted by rwdtech

Good luck with yours.
You didn't too mauch for this car. If it's what you want, in the condition you want and the price you were willing to pay, then the price was just right!
