Transmission: 700R4.. I think
Axle/Gears: Not Sure, 3.73?

Hey...Just had my 85 TA restored...just wondering what it would be worth now...not that im thinkin about selling it lol i love it too much...heres some specs on it to help...theres no rust on it at all because of the frame-up restoration I just had done the summer...its got about 160,000 KM on the origional 305 HO 4bbl engine...T-Tops...sound system installed...anyone know what its worth?..thx

how much did you put into it? Usually you wont get back what you put in, so you are already at a loss...unless it's pretty low. Be more specific on what you did and how much it cost you.

If its perfect I would hold out for a minimum of $12,000, especially with a fresh engine, and if the work was done correctly.
THe range for a "Perfect" T/A is $5000 to $15000 depending on your location the options, whether or not you have won awards with the car, if its in a book etc. If its a real HO car then that will help too...
The problem is there were 1,665 HO Trans Am's made in 1985, they all had a Manual Transmission. There were 16,869 TPI Trans Am's made, and they ALL had the Automatic. The TPI got better milage, had suposedly more horsepower, but the HO car was lower production...
I happen to know where there is an 85 T/A, silver/Gray, but with a blown engine... thought about offereing him $500 and part it out.
