1989 Formula for $1000
1989 Formula for $1000
I was looking at a '89 Formula tonight, it was a 305 tbi, Auto, t-tops, it has "WS6'' on the wheel center caps, has 151k, was painted purple, but it was originally Red, body is rust free, but has dents in the door and fender and some on the hood, runs good. the spid label is gone. is it worth a second look?

Well, if it is truly rust free top and bottom, then that is a big plus.
305 tbi auto isn't that impressive of a drivetrain.
The most important question might be: can you live with the color and the dents? If not, then you are looking at thousands in body work, and therefore it isn't a good deal at all.

As for the paint, its hard to tell, what is under the paint unless he has pictures of before it was painted.
I would not buy it as an investment....

Thanks for the info, I thought it was'nt to bad of a deal, but I would'nt had restored it, I would have bought it to re-sell it,if it was a TPI car. Its still up for sale, I bet he'd take 700 bucks if someone waved cash in his face ....... Chris
