"You don't see that everyday" pictures of TTA - History!!

After finding that build sheet the other day, I got inspired to give my TTA a good look over today. I snapped some pics, and put them on a webpage.

For those of you interested in how the TTA's left the factory, this 1,200 mile original might be useful. If you have any questions, ask away!

Thank you for the great pictures. This is exactly the reason for survivor cars.Restored examples are neat but usely get overdone. The factory was just putting them together then rolling them out.Although special models like the TTA did receive special treatment. The annniversary plug wires are an interesting item.Do you know if they were unique to the TTA or would all '89 T/A - GTA's have come with them?I wonder if Chevrolet went to the same detail for any of the Camaro's Anniversary models.

Those 20th Anniversary Trans Am plug wires are unique to the TTA cars. I don't know if anyone ever reproduced them, but I'm glad the owner took off the originals and ran 'regular' wires. But if he knew he was only going to put 1K miles on the car in 15 years, I'm surprised he bothered!

I dig it. The bulk of the small colored tags with two or three digits are the broadcast codes. Basically markings that coincide with the assembly sheets so the correct parts got installed on the assembly line.
