My dad has a 1992 Camaro RS with what looks like the 1LE package. As I looked at the RS and compared it to a 1992 Camaro Z28, the Z28 has a badge on the back that says 5.7 liter tuned port injection. Meaning a 350 engine. Now back to the RS, it doesn't have that badge but it has the tuned port injection. I was wondering is the RS a 305 (LO3) or a 350 (L98)?

No RS Camaro came with a Stock factory 350TPI. It is a 305TBI LO3 if it s stock.

 

The car has the TPI set up. Exactly how the 1992 Z28 came. When my dad bought the car it wouldn't idle cleanly. Therefore we changed the ECU to the stock 1992 Z28 ECU and it runs so much cleaner. If the RSs came with a 305 why did the Z28 ECU make the car run cleaner...

I live on HI and its raining right now so I didn't get a chance to look at the VIN yet. I'll have pics soon if its needed...

 

Vin will tell the true story. However, it could be a b4c police car (rs with z28 drivetrain).

 

that is the reply i was looking for. i did a vin decode and the 8th digit is an 8 therefore its a B4C. my next question is what is included with the B4C package?

 

better motor, suspension, brakes... depends on how it was ordered as i've seen b4c's that were just motor packages. someone else takeover. nice car the b4c but the z28 is nicer.
