hello everyone, i have an 87 iroc {black with gold accents}with pretty much all options besides leather seats {if that was even an option} but my question is do i have the rong embulms on my car they are the gold z28 ones on the rocker panles, if its actly and iroc like the vin told me it was wouldnt it have the iroc badges on the rockers?

2nd question the pin stipe is gold hat goes all around and then there some that has the stipe but it also has a back sticker under it looks like its there so you get it even....is that after market or wat

The emblems are correct. If I am not mistaken, the emblems said Z28 until 1988 when they came out saying IROC-Z instead. Go ahead and post some pics on the stripe and we will help you.

All the OEM stripes are 2 different colors, maybe the black was one of the originals and has just peeled off?

If your talking about the black and gold stripe just above the GFX's on your car, it should be there. The black part of the stripe doesn't show because it matches the paint almost exactly. I have a black 87 with a black and silver stripe. I looked real close and the black part of the stripe is there, but it might as well not be.

 

right under the gold stripe theres like 1ich of black sticker is that normal? or what its confuzing me quite abit

 

The 1985-87 IrocZ's had the coloured (gold in your case) stripe over the black stripe. I believe it was a one piece / 2 colour stripe . . .

The rocker panels and bumpers had the Z28 emblems . . .

And the IrocZ door decal was towards the front of the doors.


The 1988-90 IrocZ's had a 2 seperate stripes with the coloured stripe below the black stripe.

The rocker panels and bumpers had the IrocZ emblems . . .

And the IrocZ door decal was towards the rear of the doors.

And regarding the stripes, all cars got them that way, even if they were black. Hence the black stripe over the black paint.

Not to be picky, but come on people.....they are bumPers, not bumBers. Is this something new? I see this word used on all automotive forums I go to. Is their something I need to know that I missed over the years? Is there a difference in a bumper and a bumber? I don't get it.

Sounds like it's correct to me. There was leather in 87. I have it in my black and gold IROC. Check my cardomain page. I'm curious though. Can you list the rpo codes of your car. It sounds like yours and mine maybe very close twins. lol. Mines fully optioned but for the power antenna and a rear window defrost and wiper.

 

mine didnt have the rear window wiper but it has the power antena ill post up rpo codes in abit 1. its night 2, my car is parked in a garage afew blocks away 3. ill do it tomorw or so
