rare 1987 SC LT option on ebay 20th anniv
this car sounds like a perfect restoration project ,
because its a collectible 1 out of 263 SC camaro produced in 1987
and if it has LT as claimed it is probably one of two or three ,
check it out

That is a rare car. And it does appear to have many of the features specific to an LT (except for the aftermarket wheels). If he could verify the RPO B4E (LT Package) that would be awesome.
Seems like an honest ad mentioning it needs a lot of TLC and damage pics.
The "Buy It Now" price of $2000 is a little much, but if his reserve is lower (or if he accepts lower) it could be a decent deal.
PS; All '87 verts were 20th Anniversary Editions.

My SC has what looks like a long-gone outline of an 'LT' badge on the rear side, behind the door(sail panel?), but lacks the B4E RPO code. Think someone just tossed it on mine and it fell off, perhaps?

2000 is not a bad price to me considering the potential, the buyer has 0 feedback so we will see if the car relists. No pics on the seats and with that hole in the top they may be soaked.

I would love to own that car. I already have an LT, but that is the ultimate LT. All I'd have to do is yank the motor and throw the LB9 that I have in mine into the vert. I could do it, but I have neither the time nor the place right now for another project. It's too bad. If I had somewhere to store that car right now I'd buy it. The '87 verts are now considered collector cars according to NADA, and are finally worth some money.

It's a rare combo, but not exactly a big money combo. For the mileage the car is in sad shape. It's not beyond help, but it'd have to be exactly what you want to be worth the trouble.

Judging from the lower stripes I'd say it probably is a LT, lets see what the SPID label shows. I own a '87 sport coupe convertible 1 of 263, the LT option on a '87 convert is got to be very few.. Chris

Tough to tell whether it's an LT SC vert or not, lousy pics and non stock wheels.
If it is it will be only the third one that I've heard of.

- the ex-Berlinetta steering wheel used in the '87 LT
- the unique to LT upper and lower body stripes
- the unique lower body accent paint
Quite a bit of evidence supporting it's an '87 LT vert.

If you yank the engine out you will dimish value greatly. Same things as these young guys doing a V8 swap on a vega cosworth, they become just another V8 vega with a fancy interior plaque.

so in a nutshell visually how can you tell an LT from base SC hardtop? I think I may have one but not sure and can't get to the RPO's until this weekend, which sux. I was gonna sell it really but if it turns out to be one of these, I might put the ugly nose back on and strip the 92 GFX off and hang on to it.

I already posted a few of the clues above, but here is also a good article for a little more info . . . http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar...uide&year=1987
