The pictures don't say much, but I don't like that it's sitting out in the snow. "No rust?" Yeah, right.

It probably has a 305 TBI, it has 137000 miles, it doesn't have any seats or guages? I think that's what he meant in the ad. And guessing by those pics, it looks like it's been for sale for a while. I'd offer him $2500. But definitly take a good look at it first and ask about the "updates". Good luck!

The RS wasn't available with a 350 unless it was a B4C, and that option wasn't available till later. If it's a V8 it's a TBI 305, not exactly a power house. At the very least the hood has been changed, since it's a Z28/IrocZ style hood, and the RS was only offered with a flat hood.

 

Of coarse this making the assumption that it's still original. And how do we know that for sure? The hood isn't, that paint isn't (although might be the same colour as original), the wheels arn't, the seats arn't (there actually don't even seem to ba any?), the gauges arn't (missing as well?).

This advice is only for regarding what that ride did have or should have, not neccessarily what it does have. To determine what kind of drivetrain is actually has may require investigating casting numbers etc, unless you really trust the source. After 18 years and the mods it has already, you may not know for sure.
